Kanchana ss Foundation organized a free orthopaedic and general health camp for the students and parents of the adopted Government higher primary school, Alanthaya. The health camp received incredible response, with the village community making complete utilization of the opportunity and turning up in large numbers. There were several newly diagnosed cases of hypertension and diabetes. An interesting case of Bell's palsy following severe herpes zoster infection was also recorded. Suitable advice and free medicines were distributed and few cases were referred to local physicians for regular monitoring. Cases of orthopedic involvement were also significant in number. The camp was a huge success, attended by over 150 stundents and locals of the village
